Real tinder

On a recent camping trip, we made natural fire starting wisps from juniper (cedar). The more you rub it together, the more fluffy and airy it gets … easy to ignite a fire with some small, shallow breaths.

What kind of tinder can we provide for our children? What lights that spark? How can we fan the flames and keep the light burning in their beings?
