May is mental health awareness month

May is mental health awareness month

My heart and mind are specifically reflecting over the many adolescents in our state and country that are designated “CWAP,” or “child without a placement.” I won’t do the numbers because it’s too many to count. They sleep in motels, get picked up on the streets, and have a host of mental health issues. I mean, who wouldn’t, given what they’ve been given, which is pretty much nothing.

Please take a moment to pause and reflect on this especially vulnerable group of children as we walk through mental health awareness this month. 💚
