Borrowing hope

“The opposite of addiction is not sobriety.

The opposite of addiction is connection.”

I can’t recall who said this quote but it is profound to me. Many of our addictions stem from loneliness and despair. And sometimes, making a phone call or visiting a friend and seeking connection, even if not feeling it, is a little borrowed, tiny path to hope. #defianthope
